Composition

Its scientific name is Alkanna Tinctoria, and it is also known as Dye Moth or Devil’s Root. It belongs to the Boraginaceae family, with small violet flowers and a dark red color on the outside and inside violet, enveloping a whitish heart whose medicinal and palliative properties have been used to heal wounds, burns, cracks in hands and feet, and for various skin conditions. The Root of the Traitor was a plant used in medieval times by druids, ancient Celtic priests, for the maceration of vegetable oils intended for various healing purposes.
